Localroam is a cooperative buying web service, a first of its kind, that aims to help its members get the best discounts all-year round in return for loyalty unlike the usual group buy sites that sells anything to anyone only for a limited period. Localroam focuses on 4 essential types of services ie. travel, wellness, basic-lifestyle and education/events and aims to create a loyal community of buyers and sellers. By building on the time-honored value of loyalty and cooperation, buyers and sellers within the coop enjoy a win-win arrangement. Ultimately by helping build loyalty, Localroam helps creates a stronger and bigger market by helping Filipino households and small businesses save 10-15% of its budget and give them more opportunities to grow.
How does it operate?
Localroam issues discounted prepaid vouchers to loyal buyers on behalf of its merchants. Order and payment Transactions are pimarily made online through Localroam and BPI Expressonline but payments may also be made "over-the-counter" at any BPI bank. Best of all, these prepaid offers are always available all-year round, 24/7. There's no pressure to buy things you don't need. You only buy what you need, when you need it.
How much discounts could we avail from Localroam.ph?
The discount privileges offered to Localroam members are usually VIP discounts or corporate discounts reserved for a merchant's best customers. They range from 10%-40% depending on the type of industry. In other words, Localroam obtains the highest discount that a member business gives its top clients and passes it on to ordinary consumers and SMEs, giving them the buying power usually enjoyed by big businesses.
Is it exclusive to BPI clients? Could I buy Localroam.ph vouchers even if I am not a BPI client?
Non-BPI clients may buy prepaid vouchers and pay for them at any of BPI's over 800 branches nationwide. But there are greater privileges for BPI Expressonline clients such as lower minimum purchases, more prepaid offers to choose from and the convenience of 24/7 internet banking.
What makes it different from group buying sites?
Localroam doesn't consider itself a group buy site but rather a Coop Buying site, a first of its kind. FAQs on voucher use
When can I use my Localroam voucher?
You can use the voucher immediately unless the voucher specifies an effective date of use.
Does the voucher have expiry dates?
Yes, vouchers have a specific expiry date and vary depending on the offer. After the expiry date vouchers cannot be used and will be deemed forfeited. Buyers are encourage to buy vouchers only when they need it. Vouchers are issued by Localroam on behalf of its merchant partners to promote loyalty between member buyers and sellers. The Localroam Buying Coop is a loyalty program and its vouchers are exempt from DTI regulations covering expiry dates for gift certificates.
How do I use my Localroam voucher?
After successfully paying for your voucher, you will receive an email notification from Localroam informing you that your voucher is ready for download from your Localroam account (click on MY VOUCHERS). Print the voucher and present it to the partner merchant for service redemption but make sure to follow redemption mechanics specified in the voucher. Each merchant partner has its own policy for service redemption. This can be viewed in the prepaid offer page or in the voucher.
Can I use multiple vouchers to redeem a service?
It depends on the type of prepaid offer. Some prepaid offers issue vouchers with specific denominations (Eg. P250, P500, P1000) which can be combined to obtain a service of specific value. Eg. Four vouchers of face value P250 each may be combined to redeem a service worth P1,000 in value. Other prepaid offers issue specific-use vouchers (Eg. Vouchers specific to a type of hotel room). Please carefully read the mechanics of each prepaid offer to understand the type of voucher being used.
Can I refund my voucher?
No, vouchers are non-refundable and non-convertible to cash. In case merchant for some reason cannot provide a service, buyer must communicate in writing the circumstances of non-deliverance to both the merchant and Localroam. The merchant’s standard policy for returns/exchanges will apply only if merchant cannot provide the service. Localroam will assist in facilitating this procedure.
If I don't use the full value of the Localroam voucher in one visit, can I use the remainder later?
No, you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever remaining voucher amount you do not use. You must use the full amount in one visit.
Can I combine my Localroam deal with other offers or promos?
No, Voucher is not valid with senior citizen discount or any other ongoing promos.
Is my voucher transferrable?
Yes, you may give a voucher you’ve already purchased to a friend as a gift. The name on the voucher does not have to match that of the bearer. Simply print out your voucher and give it to a friend. In any case, each voucher may be redeemed only once. Vouchers presented for use will be deemed to have been used by owner/bearer of the voucher if latter has been password-authenticated by merchant. Lost voucher passwords that are used are not replaceable.
How will I get a receipt?
Localroam merchant partners will issue a receipt for the discounted amount of the voucher upon service redemption. Localroam is company supports honest tax payment among its advocacies.
Is VAT included in the voucher amount?
Yes, the discounted voucher amounts are inclusive of VAT.
